The short answer is everything costs money. But the good news is a bicycle and walking path from Military Cutoff to Porters Neck is still on New Hanover County’s drawing board.

Jim McDaniel, director of New Hanover County Parks, Gardens and Senior Resources, said his department is working with the county’s planning department and the Wilmington Urban Area Metropolitan Planning Organization to secure grants and other funds to pay for the project. He said the path will eventually connect to Ogden Park.
