What’s with the sign just south of Laney High School that has the word ‘click’ on it 6 times?

The Adopt-A-Highway sign on North College Road was sponsored by Wilmington resident Joshua Hines and a group of his friends.

The name comes from the TV show “Aqua Teen Hunger Force,” because there is a joke about a highway cleanup crew whose name contained click sounds.

“It was just a joke me and my friends did, and we wanted to do volunteer work anyway,” Hines said. “We didn’t put that much thought behind it.”
