New Hanover Regional Medical Center’s AirLink helicopter covers seven counties in Southeastern North Carolina for transporting patients as well as sometimes helping to search for missing people.

Thirty critical care workers staff the air ambulance, which is a EC135 helicopter. Air Methods Corp. provides the aircraft and pilots, and the hospital’s AirLink provides the medical crew.
