From Wilmington city spokeswoman Malissa Talbert:
“The city offers recycling pickup to any customers who have their trash picked up by the city and pay the regular bi-monthly fees. Anyone who pays the city for trash pick-up gets recycling pick-up at no extra charge. Most apartment complexes use dumpsters, which are picked up by private companies, not the city. However, the city does provide pick-up at many multi-family buildings that are customers of the city. It all comes down to who is your trash provider. If it’s the city, then you are eligible for recycling pick-up. The city also offers its customers yard waste and bulky item pickup at no additional charge to the regular bi-monthly fees.”
