According to George Allen of WWAY-TV3, you’re probably thinking of Jack Wiggins.
Wiggins, an account representative at WWAY, had on-air experience, and he would do the voiceovers for many of his advertising accounts — which, back in the 1980s, included Crocker’s Marine, Long Leaf Mall and the old Ballantine’s Cafeteria.
