Glock 9mm handgun.

Got a handgun and want to carry it concealed? You need some education first.

Cape Fear Community College offers a concealed handgun safety course during most semesters. You have to attend two classes to carry. The first class consists of six hours of classroom instruction and the second is six hours of range instruction. The next dates in 2011 are March 5 and 12, and June 7 and 14. The classes run on Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Wilmington Campus, Room L-107. The cost is $68, and only cash or money order are accepted. That means no personal checks. For information, call (910) 362-7189.

Also, one can try Shooter’s Choice, 6789 Gordon Road, Wilmington [Map this]. They hold concealed carry classes once a month. The next one is March 19, 2011. Students have to be preregistered, and its first-come, first-serve. It costs $100. For more information, call (910) 350-0486.
