Former University of North Carolina Wilmington men’s basketball coach Benny Moss received a $225,000 settlement in August 2010 and parted ways with the university after being reassigned within the athletics department on Jan. 28, 2010. He was still living in Wilmington as of Feb. 2, 2011.

Moss attended the Leon Brogden Holiday Tournament held the week after Christmas 2010 at Trask Coliseum and also has attended a number of other high school basketball games.

He was at the Charleston (South Carolina) Classic college basketball tournament in November 2010, and told one college coach in attendance that he was scouting players for a service based in New Jersey.

UPDATE: On Oct. 14, 2011, Benny Moss became an assistant coach at Coastal Carolina in Conway, S.C. As of January 2014, the school’s website still lists him as a coach of the Chanticleers.
