If there is a fresh seafood market in Ogden, we haven’t heard of it and neither have the couple of related businesses we contacted in the Ogden area.

Your best bet might be going to one of the fish markets in Hampstead or Wilmington.

Atlantic Seafood Retail Market, 95 N.C. 210, Hampstead [Map this], is open 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday through Friday and 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday.

In Wilmington, the following are some fish markets recommended by other MyReporter.com readers:

  • Eagle Island Seafood: 2500 U.S. 421 N., Wilmington [Map this], (910) 762-1193.
  • Seaview Crab Company: 6458 Carolina Beach Road, Wilmington [Map this], (910) 793-0404.
  • Henry & Son Seafood stand: next to the Kangaroo Express, 5717 Castle Hayne Road, Castle Hayne [Map this].
  • Blackburn Brothers Seafood: 440 N. Lake Park Blvd., Carolina Beach [Map this], (910) 458-9001.
  • East Coast Seafood: 1315 Dawson St., Wilmington [Map this], (910) 763-9589.
  • Motts Channel Seafood: 120 Short St., Wrightsville Beach [Map this], 910-256-FISH (3474).
  • There are probably many more places where you can get fresh seafood to prepare yourself, as well as a plethora of restaurants that serve good seafood in the Cape Fear region.
