Will WMFD-AM carry the new show that replaced ‘Primetime with the Packman’?

Chuck Carree
StarNews

According to WMFD’s website, the station mentions Mark Packer is in the process of launching his own network and he has the full support of WMFD and will carry his show as soon as the show is ready to go. The site concluded with thank you for your patience.

And, according to a Charlotte Observer story, Packer left the flagship station, Charlotte’s WFNZ, around Thanksgiving 2010 because he and the station could not negotiate a new contract.

The story also states he intends to continue syndicating his own program across the Carolinas and expects to return to the airwaves in July 2011. He signed a non-compete clause, meaning he cannot syndicate his show until his contract with CBS Radio ends.
