The classes include basic aerobics, circuit training, dance (step-by-step body jam) and “Yogalates” – a cross between yoga and pilates.
The annual membership fees, which include the classes, are $50 for Wilmington residents and $85 for non-city residents. The center also has free weights, universal equipment, treadmills, stationary bikes and StairMasters.
Karen Mutters is the center director and one of the personal trainers, along with Erica Fonvielle.
“We don’t do organized boxing classes anymore, but we still have all of our heavy bags and double-end bags and also our speed bags are still up,” Mutters said. “So you are more than welcome to come in and wrap your hands and hit any of the bags that we still have up.”
The hours of operation for the center are 6 a.m. to 8 p.m. Monday through Wednesday, 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Thursday and Friday, and 9 a.m. to noon Saturday.
