What are they doing on the waterfront at Orton Plantation?

Andrew Dunn

The plantation house at Orton Plantation was built in 1725.

New Orton Plantation owner and billionaire hedge fund trader Louis Moore Bacon has begun a project to stabilize the land along the riverfront, said David Sprunt, general manager of the plantation, in an e-mail.

The work will repair damage to the rice field banks caused by erosion, which Sprunt said has “dramatically increased” in the last few years.
