Salary information for the Cape Fear Public Utility Authority is available on the StarNews website by clicking here, utility spokeswoman Carey Disney Ricks said.
“Administration is ‘accountable’ first and foremost to our customers, the region, our coastal environment and ultimately the board (of directors),” Ricks said.
The CFPUA Board of Directors has 11 members. All are appointed by either the city of Wilmington or New Hanover County elected bodies, Ricks said. Four of the 11 members “are themselves elected officials of the city and county,” she added.
UPDATE: James Flechtner, chief operating officer and deputy CEO, made $137,500 as of fall 2014, when the most recent information was collected for the StarNews salary database, and Cheryl Spivey, chief financial officer and administrative services director, made $134,970.
They were the two highest paid employees, and they were among 10 employees who made more than $100,000 a year.
