The Murchison Building in Wilmington.
The antennas atop the Murchison Building, 201 N. Front St., Wilmington [Map this], are mostly for cell phone service, said Rich Cotton, regional manager for Ziff Properties Inc. One reason for the antennas’ placement is that the Murchison is the tallest building downtown, Cotton said. There also are satellite antennas on the roof for business communications, Cotton added.

The top of the Murchison Building resembles a NASA Earth Station. As this is downtown Wilmington’s most attractive and significant building, it’s a shame that its appearance is marred by this jumble of towers and antennas.
