Why is there no price-per-gallon sign at the gas station at Carolina Beach Road and Burnett Boulevard?

Ken Little

The Han-Dee Hugo’s gas station at 1746 Carolina Beach Blvd., Wilmington [Map this], does not have an electronic sign to post gasoline prices, so the price of the regular grade is the only one displayed, explained assistant manger Cassie Patti.

“We don’t have a price per gallon on our sign. We have a price for the regular unleaded,” Patti said. “We don’t have an electronic sign, so it’s hard to get all three prices to fit.”

Plus or premium grade gas prices are not displayed on the sign, she said.

“Unfortunately, it’s hard to make it fit because we have such a small sign,” Patti said.
