This area, known as Riegelwood, is the former Adelphia property that Time Warner Cable acquired a few years ago, according to Andi Curtis, public affairs manager for Time Warner Cable’s coastal and Fayetteville operations. While TWC has not yet upgraded the system, the company has earmarked funds in the proposed 2011 budget to do so, she said. Officials have not yet approved that budget, but if and when they do the area would have access to high-speed Internet, digital home phone and digital cable, Curtis added.
“We would really like to have the opportunity to serve the area with all of the advanced services,” she said. “We hope it is approved.”
