A reader writes that his former roommate moved out, leaving behind a large, stolen “slippery when wet” street sign.
The stolen street sign can be returned to the New Hanover County Property Management office at 200 Division Drive, Wilmington [Map this].
The office is next to New Hanover County Animal Control and not far from the Wilmington International Airport.
Office hours are from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Friday.
The phone number is (910) 798-4330.
Are there penalties for removing street signs? Can the culprit be charged if the theft results in an accident?
