The work in the area of Rose Avenue and Andover Drive “is part of the Northeast Interceptor Project inherited from the City of Wilmington and constructed by the CFPUA,” said Cape Fear Public Utility Authority spokeswoman Carey Disney Ricks.

Ricks said the project is nearing completion, “with areas of leveling remaining before asphalt repairs can occur.”

“This project managed by the CFPUA is ahead of schedule and asphalt repairs are anticipated to occur soon,” Ricks said.

“Yes, Rose is part of this repair,” she said. “Grading on Rose is starting today.”

She said a contractor will make asphalt repairs in the following order: 51st Street, Pine, Andover, Solera, Hinton and Greenville.

Information about this project and corresponding road closures has a dedicated page on the CFPUA website. Look under the Notification tab on the top, right corner of the page.

A paragraph on the page regarding the Northeast Interceptor provides a project overview and an option to direct readers to an independent NEI page.
