The Pender County Planning Department is aware of one new development off the rural, mostly residential Cheshire Road at this time.
Planning Director Patrick Davenport said the development, called Arbor Park, was approved in 2007. The developer, Arbor Lakes Development Inc., is now clearing land for it.
It’s located near the N.C. 133 intersection of the 1.4-mile Cheshire Road, which connects that highway to N.C. 210. The plan is to build 90 single-family homes on lots of more than half an acre each, Davenport said.
Those wanting more information on this project and others in Pender County can call the planning department at 259-1202.
