What has happened to attorney Alton Lennon?

Ken Little

UPDATE: In June 2014, the now-disbarred lawyer was sentenced to 60 days in New Hanover County jail in the theft of more than $250,000 from a former client. Read the story here.

“I’m retired. I’ll be 67 years old in about a month. It was time,” Lennon says.

Lennon left the local law firm he was associated with on Sept. 1. He still lives in Wilmington.

“I’m no longer practicing law and that’s the sum and substance of it,” he says.
