Who is responsible for maintaining the cemetery at the end of Dixie Avenue?

Winter Park cemetery, which has also been known as Park View cemetery, is still an active cemetery.

According to information from local history records at the New Hanover County Library, it is a community cemetery, which means maintenance is up to the families of people who are buried there.

Here’s a link to information about other notable burial sites in the area:

A Dixie Avenue resident has been leading the efforts to maintain Winter Park/Park View Cemetery for some time now and recently with the help of his church. Many of our county’s cemeteries are neglected and desperately need volunteers to “adopt-a-cemetery” to bring them back to their original beauty. For more information or to get involved, contact me, Karyn Crichton, at the New Hanover County Planning Department at kcrichton@nhcgov.com or 798-7085.

I wonder if anyone else has attempted to email this person, I got no response. It could be lost in a spam filter or something, to be fair.
