The Town of Carolina Beach contracts with Lanier Parking Meter Solutions to administer all parking and enforcement within the town and at Freeman Park, also known as the North End, where four-wheel-drive vehicles can access the beach. The attendants at the entrance to Freeman Park work for Lanier Parking and receive an hourly wage. The town pays Lanier Parking for actual expenses, $1000 per month base payment and 10 percent of the parking revenue only, which doesn’t include Freeman Park, said Carolina Beach Town Manager Tim Owens.
