Whatever happened to local radio personality Craig Thomas?

Amy Hotz

Craig Thomas, longtime co-host of “Craig and Kitty In the Morning” on 102.7 WGNI radio, quit that station to hop over to another number on the dial. (Kitty Fitzgibbon still works for WGNI doing “Carter and Kitty in the Morning.”)

On Feb. 16, 2009, Thomas — along with Sheila Brothers — signed on to the new Sunny 104.5, owned by Sunrise Broadcasting. Sunrise took over all of NextMedia’s stations: 99.9 WKXB-FM (rhythmic oldies), Z 107.5 WAZO-FM (Top 40), Surf 98.3 WSFM-FM (Alternative), 98.7 WLGD-FM La Gran D (Spanish), 630 AM WMFD (ESPN Radio) and 104.5 WILL-FM.

Thomas and Brothers host “The Craig and Sheila Show,” a morning show on 104.5 from 6 to 10 a.m. weekdays.

Thomas worked at WGNI for 19 years.
