Where can I recycle if I live in an apartment complex with no collection bin?

Depending on your county of residency, city-run recycling sites require you to be a resident of the county where the drop-off facility is located.

But if the county locations are not within your driving distance, there are independently run recycling facilities who will welcome your aluminum cans despite your home base.

You can choose at most sites to return your aluminum cans for recycling only or make some change along with your good deed. Most facilities offer a per pound rate of at least 30 cents.

Crushing your cans prior to drop-off means more cans in your bag for the same weight.

Can crushers cost about$13 and can be purchased at most hardware stores.

I’ve started a local, family-owned business to offer affordable curbside recycling to those areas where it is not currently available in order to encourage greater compliance.

We don’t require your entire area to sign up in order to come to your neighborhood. We’ll come for 1 customer or 100. We just want you to recycle!
