How do I find out if a sex offender lives in my neighborhood?

If you’re looking for a place to live, you want to make sure your neighborhood is safe, or at least have some idea of who lives there. Parents with children want to know whether their community is free of sexual predators. In North Carolina, sex offenders must register where they live and who they are. You may search for a sex offender by street name or by name of offender. Follow this link to search: http://sexoffender.ncsbi.gov/

I feel like people that are sex offenders should have to put a sign in the yard that say I am a sex offender, also I feel like they should have to put in the cars they drive too.I am a mother of a child that this happen to and I think that this is the worst thing anyone could do to a child. The person that did this to my child, went to jail for it and I don’t feel like he got what he should have, but the courts did. Sex Offender should have to know how it feel to have to live with this each day like the people they hurt does. One day they will have to answer to the one and only and maybe he will do the right thing and sent them right to__________

Here is the new link to the website http://sexoffender.ncdoj.gov/

I agree that the sign in the yard would be great. I was molested as a child and these degenerates never get what they deserve. All the bleeding heart liberals that think these “people” can be rehabilitated are responsible for the lax punishment. I wonder if the law would be more strict if more people making the laws had this happen to them or one of their children…..
