Spectacular Southern-style architecture is abundant in historic downtown Wilmington, and the Bellamy Mansion Museum is no exception. The grand structure at 503 Market St., Wilmington [Map this], with the well-manicured lawns and the widow’s watch, is a restored antebellum townhouse with exhibits on regional history, architecture and African-American life. Guided and self-guided tours are available. Hours are 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday and 1 to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $10 for adults, $4 for children 5-12 and free for children 4 and younger. Group rates are available. For more information, call 251-3700 or log on to www.bellamymansion.org.
