What agency/group can help me find a new job?

Judy Royal

Are you out of work? Or is your current job just making you crazy? You’re not alone. With rising unemployment rates and companies forced to do more with less, a vast majority of the labor force is likely to be unhappy with their current livelihood situation. The Employment Security Commission of North Carolina is a great place to start if you’re out of work and/or looking for work. The agency offers job search databases and information on state unemployment benefits. These are the local offices in Southeastern North Carolina:

New Hanover County

717 Market St., Wilmington [Map this]

(910) 251-5777

Brunswick County

5300-7 Main St., Shallotte [Map this]

(910) 754-6120

Pender County

904-A Walker St., Burgaw [Map this]

(910) 259-0240
